I’m Plamen Zhelyazkov.

I started exploring computers in the 90s with a family 486 and no internet. Curiosity quickly turned into a habit of figuring things out - and that drive has never left me.

I studied Computer Systems and Technologies at Technical University Sofia, but most of what I know I learned by building things. I spent over a decade at a retail company building production applications - e-commerce, partner-facing portals, internal tools, an Android operations app - alongside maintaining the underlying infrastructure and leading digital initiatives. That experience shaped how I think about technology: it should serve people, not the other way around.

Since then I've worked in fintech (backend development on payment processing), at a software product company (Linux infrastructure for engineering and ML teams), in a web studio (Symfony and Laravel projects), and as an independent consultant - always gravitating toward roles where I can combine technical work with understanding what the business actually needs.

I enjoy building things that people actually use - tools that simplify daily work, replace manual processes, and let specialists focus on what they're good at instead of fighting with software. I care about clean solutions and working with people who want to get better at what they do.
